Keeping our children safe and happy is at the very heart of everything we do, and this week our Reception, Year One and Year Two pupils took part in age-appropriate safeguarding lessons.

The children explored what it means to keep safe, the idea of personal space, and how to look after their own bodies. They also talked about who they can turn to if they ever feel uncomfortable, the trusted adults in their lives, both at home and here at school.

To help bring these important ideas to life, the children met Pantasaurus, the NSPCC’s friendly dinosaur, who helps young children understand that they have the right to say no, and that if they ever need to speak up, someone will always listen.

These are gentle, reassuring conversations, delivered in a way that is right for our youngest pupils, and an important part of the caring, secure environment we work hard to provide every single day.
