Annemount welcomes children from the age of two to the Nursery and Pre-Reception classes. Children must be aged four by September for admission into Reception, aged five by September for admission to Year One and aged six by September for admission to Year Two.
We encourage both parents to visit the school. Please use the Tour Request Form to make an appointment. The Head Teacher, will be delighted to meet you to show you around the school and classrooms, giving you the opportunity to see the school in action and meet the children.
In addition to the “visit”, we encourage parents to watch our School Video as well as our Wellbeing Film.
The Registration Form needs to please be completed and returned together with the registration fee.
Registered pupils for Reception and above are invited for a visit during the Autumn term prior to the year of entry. Children visiting will participate in small groups activities as well as have the opportunity to direct their own play. We also teach them something completely new. In this way we can have a sense of their development in all areas of learning. Our objective is to be able to meet each child’s needs within a harmonious class setting. Rather than attainment, we are looking for potential and suitability to the programme at Annemount. These visits take place before an offer is confirmed.
We do also consider late applications.
We no longer assess our youngest pupils prior to offering places. As a child matures and develops within the school we feel it is always in the pupil’s best interest to ensure that the programme on offer at Annemount continues to be suitable. Therefore, termly parents’ meetings are held with the class teacher to discuss how well pupils are responding to the programme.
Once an offer of a place is made, parents are invited to commit to their child’s place by means of a non-refundable deposit of £1200.
