Every parent of an Annemount child automatically becomes a member of the Parent Teacher Association. The Annemount PTA is a non-profit organisation with 3 main aims:
Enhancing school life for Annemount pupils:
The PTA organises several activities for the children, including visits from a farm, various workshops to support specific initiatives within the school such as dedicated Science or Maths weeks, and of course, the magnificent Summer Fete.
Enhancing school life for Annemount parents:
The PTA provides a forum for parents to get to know each other and to share information. We host a great year of social events both in and out of school including coffee mornings with the Head. The PTA also assists school events such as Parent Education Talks and Open Days.
Raising money for charity:
The PTA is also heavily focused on raising money for local and national charities relating to children.
PTA meetings are a great way to get involved and meet other parents. The PTA relies on volunteers and good ideas, as well as a willingness to participate in some small way such as simply baking a cake for the Bake Sale!
The school supports Food Bank Aid in North Finchley. On the first Friday of each month, the school hosts a collection for the charity. Our Year Two ‘Food Bankers’ delivery the donations direct to the food bank and help to sort the items.
