Permissions Form

You will have received the Parent Handbook, which offers a number of guidelines as well as useful information.  We appreciate that this is a lot to absorb and may not all be relevant when your child first starts.  However, there are many important elements for the smooth running of the school. We have highlighted these below and ask that you read and confirm your understanding.

Each year group’s lessons commence at a slightly different time. This is designed to minimise congestion and enable the classes to run smoothly. If there are siblings we suggest that the youngest child comes to school together with the older sibling at the earlier time. Younger siblings are always warmly welcomed if they are early. Punctuality is very important to the programme of learning at Annemount School. We encourage good citizenship skills as well as respect and the meaning of being part of a community. It is very difficult for a child to acquire these skills and sense of belonging if they are consistently late. Lateness also causes anxiety. Lateness at the beginning of the day makes a real impact on the success of the lesson and disrupts the class as a whole. We ask for your reassurance that our term time dates will be honoured and that time will not be taken off at the beginning and end of terms for holiday. The school's Attendance Policy can be downloaded from the school website or a hard copy obtained from the school office.
At Annemount, we occasionally take photographs and videos of pupils. We use these photos to record your child’s learning journey and for assessment tools which are statutory requirements. Development records are often documented using a secure password-protected platform such as Seesaw. Photographs and videos are also used on the school’s website and on display boards around school, as well as in the weekly newsletters. Photographs and videos may also be used for promotional purposes, in the local press and for competitions or awards such as Transport for London’s Travel Plan. This excludes Social Media, where a separate consent is sought below. Pupils in Year Two receive a charming photo yearbook of their final year at Annemount; this is compiled using a secure password-protected website. We value using photos/videos of pupils to be able to showcase life at Annemount. By signing this form, you give consent to us taking photos and videos of your child, and using them in the ways described above. If you do not wish to provide consent, the school office will contact you to discuss how we can accommodate your preferences. You are free to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us in writing.
Annemount uses social media platforms, including Instagram, to share updates, celebrate children’s achievements, and showcase the wonderful activities that take place each day. As part of this, we may occasionally wish to include photographs or videos of the children participating in learning experiences, events, and play. These images will be used responsibly and respectfully, and no personal information (such as full names) will be shared alongside them. To ensure we respect your preferences and your child’s privacy, we are seeking your permission to use such images in this specific way. You are free to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us in writing. If you have any questions or would like further information, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Thank you for your continued support.
As a professional organisation with responsibility for young people’s safeguarding, it is important that all members of the school community take all possible and necessary measures to support children to manage technology safely and effectively. This includes protecting data and information systems from infection, unauthorised access, damage, loss, and abuse and theft as well as sharing personal data including photographs inappropriately. The school asks that parents help to achieve this by agreeing to promote the school’s Acceptable Use Agreement for Pupils* with their child/ren and to support the school in promoting online safety. Parents and visitors are asked to keep mobile phones on silent and not to use cameras when on the school premises or volunteering with school trips, unless given permission. We expect all members of the school community to treat each other online with the same standards of consideration and good manners as they would in the course of face-to-face contact. We expect members of the school community to ensure that any materials published on their own social networking sites has due consideration shown towards the staff, pupils and families of the school. Photographs representing pupils of the school may only be posted on personal social media sites with permission from the parents of those children. Parents are asked to be vigilant when sharing photographs of their children in school uniform on social media. Any form of identification puts a child at risk. The school's Online Safety Policy can be downloaded from the school website or a hard copy obtained from the school office.
The safety of our pupils is paramount to the school. Annemount is also part of an attractive, residential community, which we need to respect and support. Therefore, we ask that you observe the following parking guidelines instituted with these considerations in mind. Any additional people dropping-off or picking up pupils must read and sign the separate permission form available from the office to ensure that they are also aware of these regulations. The school’s preference is for pupils to walk at least part of the way (park and stride) to school. The school requires parents to park on the school side of Holne Chase or neighbouring streets to eliminate traffic flow restriction and to prevent children from having to cross the road. Annemount requests drivers to turn at the safe turning points at the semi-circles just beyond the school where Holne Chase meets Rowan Walk, so that cars are correctly facing in the direction of the flow of traffic when parked. We ask drivers to please respect the grass verges and driveways at all times, leaving at least one meter of space on either side of any driveway around the school to maximise visibility for neighbours leaving their driveways. Please refrain from parking on the corners of Holne Chase and Chalton Drive or Holne Chase and Neville Drive as this also compromises visibility for drivers as well as the H2 bus. For the health of our pupils, staff and the environment, we ask that you do no idle your cars while waiting for drop-off or collection as this increases pollution and a risk to health.

If you wish to change your permissions at any time, you can let us know by emailing headteacher@annemount.co.uk.   If you have any other questions or concerns, please get in touch.
