A huge thank you to you all for your generous donations to Food Bank Aid. We were overwhelmed with the generosity of the donations and filled two cars to the brim. I was particularly proud of our Head Boy, Freddie Simmons, and Head Girl, Roma Dhanak, who came along to help with the deliveries and the sorting of our donations. We hope that this will be a regular feature of the school’s charity initiatives. It is somehow more meaningful for children to choose, handle and give an object rather than a coin, and helps them to understand the purpose and outcome of their efforts. The Food Bank hub (located in Finchley by the Hollywood Bowl) supports a number of food banks in the area and feeds many families in need within Finchley and Islington.
