The objective of the French lessons is to introduce the children to the concept of a new language.

French is taught from Reception as part of the curriculum.

The lessons are taught creatively with a variety of resources focussing on different topics developing listening and memory skills as well as confidence with speaking and communication.

Songs are also used extensively to enhance the enjoyment of learning a new language.

The main purpose of the lessons is to spark their interest in French and other modern languages going forward.
