    Computing

Computing sessions at Annemount give the children an opportunity to develop their digital literacy, coding and creative learning skills. During lessons we use laptops, iPads and programmable robots.

Reception children work on mastering their mouse skills, using the keyboard, creating pictures and saving, simple sequencing and testing algorithms alongside a wide variety of educational Apps that support the Early Years Foundation Stage.

In Year One the children begin to edit text in Word, use the file menu to manage documents, explore windows and learn all about algorithms/creating code to make things happen!

Year Two progress by building and coding a mini computer, programming interactive robots and creating amazing animations using Scratch and other similar apps. In addition they learn all about the internet and email, and how to stay safe online.

The school is committed to working with parents to inform them of current developments regarding internet safety such as accessing support through
