During the Foundation Stage, the Annemount Kindergarten child develops confidence and independence in a supportive and caring environment. The focus of the curriculum is on language, to enable children to think, enquire, anticipate, process and understand the world around them. Their lessons are enriched with stories, poetry, song, circle-time and structured play, with a balance of practical activities and directed learning.
Children are eligible for Kindergarten if they
are still three on the 1st September due to have their fourth birthday during the academic year. The class offers the parent flexibility with options for full days and extra curricular activities.
Pupils are in full-time school the term after their fourth birthday.
All three year olds and four year olds are eligible for the government grant.
